>> Mind if I preach a short sermon? >> Brother, can you turn my mic down just a just a hair, please? worship team, don't go too far because I think the Holy Spirit wants to disturb the service today. >> Please shake somebody's hand before you have a seat. The Lord told me to tell some of you this morning. He told me to tell you, listen up. You're not overlooked. Some of you, you feel so overlooked. This is going to be a very specific message for somebody in this room. And if it's for everyone in this room, my goodness, I'm so sorry. He said, "Tell them they're not overlooked." There's a word he gave me and

it was hidden. He said, he said, "They're hidden." You see what I'm saying? But God doesn't just hide stuff just to hide stuff. You know what he does? He plants it. So, so the next word is you're not just hidden, you're planted. Has anyone ever planted a seed before? Do we know what happens when you plant a seed? Let's say we decided as a group of people here that we were going to plant our favorite tree just right out there in this empty lot out here. Hey, be be praying for this empty lot by the way so God can give us directions on on what to to do with it. This empty lot and that

empty lot. Be praying. Oh, Gitana said it. Uh oh. Gonna be saying stuff and it be happening. Be careful. Let's say we all got together and we decided we were going to plant. Anybody like mangoes? Okay, you my people. Let's say we decided to plant a mango. Let's say we plant 20 mango trees. Okay. How many of you would be going and checking to see when they sprouted? Would you anticipate that they were going to sprout at some point? Because nobody plants anything and just think nothing's going to happen, right? You don't just plant something and then think nothing. Oh, maybe something will happen. No, you plant it with an expectation. Yes or no? Some

of you, you plant stuff with an expectation and you don't even know the science or the biology behind it. You're just like, I don't know how it works. It just happens. Did you know that before a seed can actually grow, that seed has to actually fully die? Write that down. You're not hidden. You're planted. And some of you, you've been planted in this season of being alone. I guarantee you, some of you even even argued with yourself whether you should make it this morning. And yet, here we are talking about being hidden. And here we are talking about being planted. You're already laughing at me, right? But God doesn't just hide you for the sake

of hiding you because he even got upset with the lazy servant. He called him a lazy servant. Remember, he hid the talent. You see, when God hides something, he plants it with an expectation that something is going to Right? The same way you have an expectation when you plant something, right? God's got an expectation for what he has done with you. You feel hidden. You feel overlooked. What whatever the case may be, it's that's not actually the case. You see, Satan tries to twist what God's doing in your life. God starts doing something in your life and Satan tries to show up and twist it. Go study the life of David. Go study the life

of Joseph. Like, we've got to be people that are in our words. Please, please, please, please don't let Sunday morning be the only time that you get a fun Bible story. Don't let Sunday morning be the only time that you dive into your word. Sunday morning, believe it or not, is supposed to be confirmation for what God's been already teaching you throughout the week, throughout the month, throughout the year. It's supposed to be confirmation. This is why the word says, "Don't call anyone on earth your father or teacher. Let the Holy Spirit be your teacher." That way, when you do show up to the teacher or to your your spiritual father or whatever, they're just

confirming what your heavenly father is already teaching you. Amen. >> Let's go to uh Colossians if you can. And I'm debating on reading the entire book out loud to you. Let's go to Colossians chapter 2. But I would encourage you read read Colossians on your own time. Let's go to Colossians chapter 2 and The word says, "If any man lacks wisdom, let him ask." So right now, Father, I'm asking for wisdom on behalf of everyone that's listening. Amen. Amen. Colossians chapter 2. For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Leodysia. And for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh, that their hearts

may be encouraged, being knit together in love. Somebody say in love. >> In love. and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding to the knowledge of the mystery of God both of the father and of Christ. Somebody say Jesus >> in whom are hidden somebody say hidden >> hidden >> all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Now this I say, lest anyone should deceive you with pers persuasive words. For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ. As you therefore have received Christ Jesus our Lord, so walk in him. rooted and built

up in him and established in the faith as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Beware, lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit according to the tradition of men according to the basic principles of the world and not according to Christ. So what he's saying is don't be deceived by worldly wisdom. How many of you know that there's a lot of worldly wisdom going around right now? I mean there's a lot of it. It's kind of wild. It's it's a bunch of like self-help stuff. Hey, if you do this, then this. If you do that, then this. If you do this, then that. And and if it ain't pointing to what

the scripture says, that's what's called worldly wisdom because there's a way that seems right to a man. But that way leads to destruction. What verse were we at? I'm sorry. Someone said nine, someone said 10, someone said eight. Let's just start at eight. Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit according to the traditions of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead. And you are complete in him who is the head of all principalities and powers. Okay, now this is the part where I want you guys start paying attention. In him you were also circumcised with

the circumcision made without hands. What he's saying is he is cutting off the pieces of your heart that don't need to be there. You understand? The more that we dive into this word and we let and we let these these words minister to us, what he's doing is he's slicing off the dead pieces of your heart that don't need to be there. Some of you, it's been so long since you've cried and you're like, "Oh, I'm just jaded by life. I'm jaded by this. I'm jaded by that." Some of you, you cry all the time. Some of you, you don't even know why you're crying right now. The Holy Spirit wants to slice off these

hard pieces of your heart so that you can be sensitive to what he's sensitive to. That's why he ascended onto Jesus as a dove. Amen. How many of you know doves are super sensitive? circumcised with the circumcision, made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ, buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. And you, somebody say you, >> being dead in your own trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, he has made alive together with him, having forgiven you of all trespasses. In other words, he's forgiven

you of everything you've ever done. Somebody better say amen on that one. Boy, Lord knows if somebody walked through that door and chopped my head off in front of all y'all, I'll probably deserve it because we don't we don't deserve heaven. We don't deserve what God's trying to give us. He's giving you something you don't deserve. Did you know that he took on the cross which he didn't deserve so he could give you something we don't deserve? If you don't get it, you'll get it later. Verse 14, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us, which was against us, and he has taken it it out of

the way and nailed it to the cross. This is this is wonderful. This is one of my favorite verses. And he disarmed the principalities and powers and wickedness in high places. And he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over evil. How many of you ever said, "Man, the devil's defeated." Whenever you say that the devil's defeated, do you think of the future defeat that he's going to face >> or do you do you understand that he got defeated >> 2,000 years ago? >> Because Jesus when he came out the grave, he said, "All authority has been given to me." So if Jesus has all authority, how much authority does the devil have? Boy, it

feels good to have some faith in the room. If Jesus has all of the authority, how much authority does the DEVIL HAVE IN YOUR LIFE? >> And yet, how many people in this very room within the sound of my voice are giving him authority every day? >> Yeah, I didn't hear no amen on that one. The only authority that the devil has in your life is the authority that you've given him. You hear me? And yet so quickly and abruptly Jesus rushes in and can take it back. All right, we're fast forward a little bit. You guys read the rest on your own time. I'm not I can't be feed in every Sunday. Fast forward

to Colossians 3. Let's go to verse. Verse one. If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above and not on things beneath, for you died. I'm looking around. Did y'all die? Have you died? Did you die yet? No. For you died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Therefore, put to death your members which are on the earth. This is the part that most pastors kind of stop preaching right here, but I'm going to read it. Put to

death your members which are on the earth. Fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desires, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things, the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience in which you yourselves once walked in when you lived in them. Somebody say, "But now." >> But now, >> somebody say, "But God." But now you yourselves are to put off all of these things, anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. Do not lie to one another since you have put off the old man with the old deeds and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of him who created him. where there

is neither Greek nor Jew, there is neither Mexican or or Cuban, Venezuelan or white or Irish or German or Dutch. There is neither circumcised nor uncircumcised.
